Sunday services restart at Madingley Parish Church from 2nd August

Services will restart at Madingley Parish Church at 10.30am on Sunday 2nd August.  This first occasion will be a special service of Morning Prayer.  Other services during the month of August will be Holy Communion.  An information sheet is available so that the congregation will know what to expect they come (available on request from the Church Secretary).  If arriving by car please park in the usual way on the Hall drive.

We very much hope that many members of the congregation will be able to attend but this may not be possible for everyone.  If you are considered ‘high risk’ or feel unwell it is understandable that you decide to stay at home.   Please be assured that the service has been planned to try to ensure that everyone can take part as safely as possible.

Following Government guidance the Church of England strongly advises that face coverings should be worn by all those attending a place of worship, including ministers, worshippers, staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors, where there may be other people present; remembering that they are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer, from coronavirus COVID-19 and that they are not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing.

Please use the hand sanitiser provided in the church porch or just inside the north door as you arrive.  If you would prefer to use soap and water please use the basin in the church lavatory.

Distancing: please keep to two metre social distancing wherever possible.  Gloves and tissues are available in the church if needed.   The sidesperson will keep a record of the names of everyone attending the service to facilitate NHS Test and Trace in the event of an outbreak of coronavirus.
