Madingley Fete 2016

The Madingley Fete was a tremendous opening event for the West End Development Appeal and it was much appreciated as a village social event  with 250 local people attending.  Visitors enjoyed the various traditional attractions such as cake and white elephant stalls, ‘Splat the Rat’, Archery, ‘Hook the Duck’, face painting and so on, all to the accompaniment of the Madingley Harpist in the beautiful setting of the Old Vicarage Garden.  The Histon Hog Roast, vegetarian lunch, home-made teas and English wine meant that everyone went home happy and replete.  £4,000 was raised for the Appeal.  The PCC is very grateful to Alan and Angela Wallace for their kind hospitality and to everyone who worked so hard to make the afternoon such a success.
